www
Hip hip, hooray! Today is the World Wide Web's birthday. Just 33 years ago, British physicist Tim Berners-Lee coined the prefix http://www to indicate that a document was 'online'. It took a few more years before Netscape became the first Internet browser and made it possible to navigate the WWW. And everything after that has become cache or cash. Incidentally, the bundling of computers that we call the internet is older. The military ARPANET, later made accessible to everyone through universities, enjoys that honour.
